About Me

Welcome to Harmony Counseling! I would like to share a little bit about my background, training, and clinical philosophy so that you can determine if my services will be a good fit for you and your family.

After graduating from Saint Louis University in 2006 with a Masters degree in Human Development and School Counseling, I spent over 14 years working with children and families at a local non-profit agency. I practiced trauma-informed therapy utilizing a variety of evidence-based interventions with a special focus on strengthening the parent-child relationship. My experience, training, and certifications include:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor, Missouri, 2007000882 (since 2008)

  • Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) International Certified Therapist and Level 1 Trainer

  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) Missouri Rostered Clinician

  • Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE)

  • Motivational Interviewing

  • Play and Sandtray Play Therapy interventions

  • Approved LPC licensure supervisor, Missouri

  • National Health Service Corps alumni

  • Field Instructor with the St. Louis Field Education Collaborative

  • Adjunct Faculty at the George Warren Brown School of School Work at Washington University, St. Louis

In addition, I have over 7 years of experience that includes supervising graduate students, implementing services through local and federal grant funding, providing clinical supervision, and managing a team of therapists.

I started Harmony Counseling in 2020 to continue my passion for working with children and families. I believe in supportive, collaborative, and culturally aware counseling services that place an emphasis on strengthening relationships and healing from difficult experiences.

I hope I have the chance to get to know you!
